My world is changed forever

My world is changed forever. This past week my in-laws moved in. I have a lot of feelings/ emotions about this and am having a hard time coming to grips with this. My world is changed forever.

My husband and I come from very different backgrounds. The way our parents raised us is very different and their ideas of our roles in life are very different. My dad told me when he found out I was marrying a Samoan - Your life will be very different. It will not be yours. There are so many truths to this simple but short statement. My world is changed forever

Although I was never actually told they were moving in until the day before I knew it was coming. I found it very strange that it was a topic that was discussed but never discussed with me. I think that everyone knew that if I knew ahead of time things might be very different. I love my husband very much and feel terrible for the place he must be but My world is changed forever.

My home is more then just a home. Its something I worked hard for, something I've taken great pride in, something I've sacrificed for. It is a place I made sure my daughters would be free to come and go and feel good as though this is their home and a place they will always have. My world is changed forever.

Sorry Jane...I know the your world has changed, but it won't be for forever. My parents won't be there for long, but a few months. Their goal is to find another place (smaller) for them both. I know that you are sacrificing alot to have them stay with you. I appreciate your kind heart in accepting them into your home even though you have issues with my mother. I hope that in time your relationship with her will be a little better then what it is now. I'm truly grateful for you and robert taking them in when you actually could have chosen not to. Anyway...thanks again! I hope your world will one day soon be back to what you're use to.

Thanks Lisa, Ya know I've prayed long and hard about this and realize there is something the lord wants me to learn from this experience. It could be humility or patients or something but its for me. Its hard for Robert but we are all going to be fine. I'm sure we'll have our ups and downs but this will make us all stronger people I'm sure :) Thanks for your support, Love you!
