Trip to the UK for our 10 year Annivsary

Robert and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by taking a trip to the UK.  Very exciting since we had both been there but not together.  I love traveling.  I love the adventure even if its just the next state over but traveling in another country is even better.  I'm hoping for one more trip before the years end.  Here are a couple of photos from our trip.  We didn't take a big camera so what we have are just from our phones.

Roberts Family in Sunderland cousin Ann and her husband George,
Cousin Maureen and her daughter Molly.

We had first class seats on our direct flight to London Heathrow.

Robert eating a proper English Fish and Chips.
He swears they have the best. :)

Bite Size Caramel Apples

Bite-size Caramel Apples ~ WOW! You don't have to eat the whole apple anymore!!

1 bag (11 oz.) KRAFT Caramel Bits
2 Tbsp. water
...
Make apple rounds with melon baller.

INSERT one candy stick into each apple round. Cover plate with waxed paper; spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
PLACE caramel bits in medium saucepan. Add water; cook on medium-low heat 3 min. or until caramel bits are completely melted, stirring constantly.

DIP apples into melted caramel until evenly coated, spooning caramel over apples if necessary. Allow excess caramel to drip off. Scrape bottoms of apples; place on prepared plate. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Remove from refrigerator 15 min. before serving. Store any leftover apples in refrigerator

*I would add nuts to it :)

We're renting our CA house out.

What does that mean.  It means that for the next several months and maybe even years I will be living in Hawaii.  I've actually been here most of the time for the past 3 1/2 months.  I miss home.  I miss CA and the ease of getting what you want or need.  A store on every corner.  A full blown real TJMaxx not the tiny little stores they have here.  I miss paying reasonable prices for things rather then the over priced, less quality things you get here.  I miss my weekly dinner parties and monthly dinner parties with the kids.  OHHHHH I thought it would be fun but the worse part of it all is that Robert is still working at LAX which means I see him on his days off.  I don't know what about this I thought would be fun.  But oh well.

We've emptied the house out and put everything in storage.  Its been a very cleansing event.  It was good to go through the house and get rid of stuff that I had no business holding on to for years.  It felt good to clean places I hadn't seen in 10 years and to finally get Robert to make the repairs to the house that have been needed for so long.  Its just too bad someone else will live in my clean house now.

Interesting though I've already begun to put a list together of things I will do to the house once we move back in.  And yes we will move back in.  Not sure if it will one or two years but that's about what I give it.  I'm sad being away from my family.  I miss them.  At 25 this would have been a great adventure at my age not so much.  I don't mind living without all my things its the people in my life that I miss.
